Byron Bay Arts and Industry Estate

Byron Bay is a small but renowned town, famous for its alternative life style and natural beauty.The Byron shire also hosts many international standard Arts festivals and large scale popular music events.
The studio is positioned in the Byron Bay Arts and Industry estate, a vibrant sub culture of artist, craftspeople and performers. The estate has a great array of commercial industry, variety shops and specialised studios. There is a bike path to town and a walking track to the beach and resort facilities.

The Studio
The Studio is No 2 of 3 units in a row, it has 140 sqm of clear space, 16 meters long and 9 meters wide.
It a large roller door, has high ceiling and good light, is freshly painted white with a shinny red floor.
There is a toilet, sink and kitchenette.

The Facilities
The space is designed for a visural Artist or group of installation /performance Artists to produce a body of work to take home or to exhibit locally. It would serve as an ideal base to prepare for a national tour or large scale interstate project. 
Equipment includes; Access to lighting and specialist AV equipment, Tool cabinet, Large Drawing Board, Bicycle, surfboard. By arrangement materials, inspiration and specialised equipment can be organised in advance.

The studio is not intended for holidays only. Accommodation for families or singles can be discussed and arranged in the near buy residential area.

The Opportunities
Spectacle Art is an established company with annual projects at prestige events, the residency will give you an introduction to a international community of artist and entertainment industry people, and the opportunity to become involved with large scale Installations at music festivals like Splendor in the Grass / Eastcoast Blues and Roots Festival / Woodford Folk Festival / Introduction for an exhibition at the Byron Bay Community Center Gallery and to a commercial gallery on the Gold Coast called Art Gallery Collections.

Expenses
Residencies are offered for a 12 to 24 week stay.
A deposit of 20 % in advance will surcure your booking.

Studio space all inclusive                                                  $500 AU per week
